Neša Paripović
The Serbian, Belgrade-based artist Neša Paripović (b. 1942) was a leading figure in the Serbian conceptual art scene of the 1970s. In what is his most well-known work, N.P. 1977, a well-dressed Paripović can be seen forthrightly walking in a straight line through Belgrade. Paripović's apparently cavalier disregard for any kind of urban planning nevertheless gives his work an entrancingly transgressive quality.
